| To encourage careers in the funeral industry, the Indiana Embalmers Educational Affiliate is pleased to announce its scholarship program to qualified Indiana residents. Please note that in order to be considered for the scholarship, you must complete the application. There are two categories of awards: (1) Senior high students applying for admission to an accredited funeral industry training program, or a program in the process of being accredited, and (2) Individuals or students continuing their funeral industry training at an accredited program. The scholarship will be awarded on the basis of need, application information, references, and/or proof of current enrollment and adequate progress in the case of an applicant who is currently enrolled in an accredited program for funeral industry training. The deadline for receiving applications for scholarship assistance for the first semester of the 2011-2012 school year is August 1, 2010. Applicants will be notified in writing of the results by August 15, 2010. The winning applicant will be invited to attend the November IEEA Educational Seminar to be recognized and introduced. The scholarship may be requested for the second semester by providing first semester grades and a letter of recommendation from an instructor in the program. The scholarship award is $250 per semester for each semester awarded. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
